Union Avenue Kroger - Building The Community
Union Avenue Kroger continues to develop, bringing vision to fruition.
Pickering provided civil engineering design, permitting, and construction phase services for Yokohama’s latest North American tire manufacturing facility on its 635-acre campus in West Point, MS. Phase I consisted of approximately 700,000 square feet, including offices, raw materials receiving, tire manufacturing process, quality control laboratory, final product storage and shipping. The new campus is designed to accommodate future expansion of multiple new manufacturing buildings, an office building, and a maintenance facility.
Civil engineering design included all grading and drainage, storm water detention, erosion and sediment control, utilities and paving. Rough grading of the entire site was designed to balance the earthwork for all future phases of development. Pickering also designed the 8,000 linear foot rail service per Kansas City Southern specifications to accommodate raw materials entering the project site. The overall site package was designed under fast-track scheduling to meet a challenging requirement of becoming operational within 24 months.
