The IGCC Plant Pipeline transports treated wastewater effluent from the City of Meridian’s two wastewater treatment plants to Mississippi Power Company’s Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) power plant in Kemper County. The project included 31 miles of 36-inch diameter pipeline, a 12 million gallon-per-day pump station, and modification of an existing 350,000 gallon-per-day pump station.

The design of the IGCC Plant Pipeline was on a fast track schedule to accommodate Mississippi Power Company’s funding and regulatory requirements for completion of the IGCC Plant. The pipeline route included challenging terrain and obstacles, requiring portions of the pipeline to be constructed by trenchless technologies. The project included approximately 6,700 linear feet of pipe constructed by the Bore and Jack method and approximately 4,400 linear feet of pipe constructed by the Horizontal Directional Drill method.
