Team July came in hot this month when they participated in our 75th anniversary challenge. Members of the team included our Gulf Coast Office (Biloxi, MS) and Flowood civil and survey group.
Our team kicked off the month strong with several members participating in 5Ks in the two areas. Our Flowood members participated in the Rotary Club 5K and our Biloxi staff in the Sunset Run to benefit youth programs with the Salvation Army. One Biloxi teammate completed the Bay St. Louis Triathlon!
Our Gulf Coast Office organized a beach clean-up.
In addition to celebrating 75 years of Pickering, our Flowood Office celebrated 10 years in Flowood. To celebrate both anniversaries, Team July arranged for food trucks and treats for the entire office.
Meanwhile, Biloxi started a new tradition of walking to lunch together on Fridays.
Team July also spent the month being mindful of spreading small acts of kindness throughout the community. Sending flowers and care packages to others, sharing dinner with a neighbor, showing thanks to those that have made a difference and keeping in touch with family and friends were among the small acts the team noticed in one another.

2021 is Pickering's 75th year as a company. In order to celebrate, Pickering is holding an inter-office contest called 75 Acts of Service & Good Work. This contest divides the entire company into 6 teams, with each team getting 1 month to try and accomplish as many acts of Service & Good Work as possible from a pre-determined list of 75 Acts. At the end of the 6-month campaign, whichever team has the most points wins. This contest provides a wonderful opportunity to work together to promote an important aspect of our culture.
